Using Blitzz with a VPN
Real-time video communication is sensitive to network quality, and VPNs can introduce additional overhead, latency, and bandwidth limitations that may impact your Blitzz experience. For the best results, we recommend using Blitzz without an active VPN connection.
If your organization requires a VPN, Blitzz can still function as long as your connection meets the minimum bandwidth and latency requirements. However, if you experience poor video quality, dropped connections, or audio issues, your VPN may be the cause.
If you're on a corporate VPN, we recommend:
- Asking your IT team to whitelist Blitzz domains and ports so that Blitzz traffic bypasses the VPN tunnel (split tunneling). See our Network Requirements & Firewall Configuration guide to share with your IT team.
- Running our Diagnostic Tests to check if your current connection meets the requirements for video calls.
If issues persist after whitelisting, try temporarily disabling your VPN to determine whether it is the source of the problem.
