Blitzz Help Center

If your video freezes during a Blitzz call, it can be due to several causes — from poor network to device settings.

Quick Fixes

  1. Toggle the Camera - Turn your video on and off, or use the Change Camera option in your call settings. If multiple cameras are available, switch between them several times if needed.
  2. Try a Different Web Browser - If one browser is causing issues, switch to another supported browser.
  3. Free Up Computer Memory - If your computer is low on memory, close unused browser tabs and applications to improve performance.
  4. Clear browser cache - To clear your browser cache follow the steps below:
    • Open Google Chrome.
    • Click the three dots (:) at the top-right corner.
    • Select Settings.
    • On the left side, Click on Privacy and Security.
    • Click Delete browsing data, choose your preferred Time range (such as All time), and select Browsing history, Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
    • Click Delete data.
    • Close and reopen Google Chrome for the changes to take effect.

Camera used by other applications

Your camera can only be used by one application at a time, including Blitzz. Close any other video or communication apps that may be accessing the camera, ensure Blitzz is open in only one window or tab, and then refresh the page to restore your video.

Restart Your Device

A frozen screen may indicate an outdated or broken camera driver. One of the simplest ways to address this issue is to update your system and restart your device.

If you have been using multiple communication or video applications, a restart is especially recommended to help restore normal camera functionality.

Camera drivers - particularly on Windows devices—can occasionally stop working unexpectedly, and a reboot often resolves these interruptions.
