How to Use and Enable Live Captions for Enhanced Accessibility on Blitzz (Web)

This article will explain what Live Captions are, how they benefit your sessions, and how to enable them for your organization.

What are Live Captions?

Live Captions provide automatically generated, real-time text transcriptions of spoken audio during a live Blitzz session. These subtitles appear directly on your screen, allowing participants to read what is being said as it happens.

Key Benefits of Live Captions:

  • Enhanced Accessibility: Provides crucial support for users with hearing impairments.

  • Improved Comprehension: Helps all participants, especially in noisy environments or when dealing with accents, to better understand discussions.

  • Better Engagement: Ensures everyone can fully participate and follow along, fostering a more inclusive meeting environment.

  • Clarity and Accuracy: Offers a visual aid to reinforce spoken words.

How Do Live Captions Work on Blitzz?

Once the feature is enabled for your organization's domain, you can easily activate and view subtitles during a live session:

  1. Start a Session: Begin or join a Blitzz session via a supported web browser.

  2. Activate Captions: Look for the "CC" (Closed Captioning) button in your session control panel.

  3. Click to Display: Click the CC button to toggle the real-time subtitles on. The captions will appear at the bottom of your session window.

  4. Deactivate Captions: Click the CC button again to hide the subtitles.

  • Supported Browsers: Live Captions are supported on most modern web browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).

How to Enable Live Captions for Your Organization

Live Captions are an enterprise-level feature that needs to be activated by the Blitzz.co team for your specific domain.

To enable Live Captions for your Blitzz account: Submit a ticket or email our dedicated support team directly at support@blitzz.co.

Once enabled, users within your organization accessing Blitzz via a web browser will be able to turn on Live Captions using the "CC" button during their sessions.
